2 problems with Ubuntu8.04

I'm using lazarus to develop a front-end GUI for my CLI program.
Everything is OK in Windows, but in Ubuntu, I found 3 problems(one is in bug tracking).

Widgetset is gtk2.
Lazarus reversion is svn top.

1.one press to the keyboard and get 2 keys in the TEdit
If I run the program as root, it will be OK.
2.The left button and right button of TPageControl will function abnormal, if I call ShowMessage in the OnChange of the TPageControl.
