Data access and reports controls?

I'm new with Lazarus.
In the IDE controls palette i find a data folder but. Can i to use the data access in my applications?

Where i can to find examples to access data? p.e. access to MySQL.

How i can to create reports?

In general, i need information about i use Lazarus to create a standard application (access to databases, create reports, etc?
