ANN: Habari Client for Apollo 1.2 - message broker client
« on: August 16, 2012, 04:44:18 pm »
Habarisoft is pleased to announce release 1.2 of Habari Client for Apollo.

ActiveMQ Apollo is a faster, more reliable, easier to maintain messaging
broker built from the foundations of the original ActiveMQ.

Habari Client libraries enable developers to implement loosely coupled,
asynchronous, and reliable integrations of Delphi / Free Pascal and Java
applications, either peer to peer (between Delphi / Free Pascal and Java
clients) or using a web container like Apache Tomcat, or a full-featured
Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) application server like JBoss AS or GlassFish.

New features in version 1.2 include:

  • STOMP 1.1 support
  • NACK (negative ACK) support
  • tested with Apollo 1.4 (released August 6 2012)

The first alpha version of Habari Client for Apollo 1.3 is now available. The new release is mainly a bug fix release.

ActiveMQ Apollo is a faster, more reliable, easier to maintain messaging broker built from the foundations of the original ActiveMQ.

With this library, Delphi and Free Pascal developers can build integrated solutions, connecting applications using the peer-to-peer and the publish and subscribe communication model.

New in release 1.3 alpha 1:

* durable subscriptions: The requirement to set a clientid on the connection for usage of durable subscriptions has been removed
* failover: The failover mechanism now performs more detailed logging of reconnect attempts
* failover: support configuration parameters in broker URLs like failover://(stomp://broker1:port?param1=a,stomp://broker2:port?param2=b)?reconnectParam=value&…
* Synapse: improved ReceiveNoWait, With the Synapse communication adapter, the Unit test ReceiveNoWaitMany stopped receiving after 87 messages
* Synapse: The Synapse library did not report Winsock error 10054 (connection reset by peer), it has been changed to raise an exception
* Indy: fixed a ConnectTimeOut (experimental feature) bug
* Indy: Tested with revision 4861 of Indy 10.5.9
* fixed: Delphi and Free Pascal compiler warnings, removed unused units
* documentation: Added paragraphs on “How do I use synchronous Receive from multiples destinations?”, “ISAPI modules” and “GUI application detection using System.IsConsole” in the “Limitations” chapter
* RTTI: the library no longer configures extended RTTI (fixed in patch release 1.2.2)
* Synapse: fixed constant 200 ms timeout bug (fixed in patch release 1.2.1)
