"automatically increase build number" does not work

i reported a bug about automatic increase build number - it was marked as duplicate of resolved bug, but as i checked in version 0.9.30 - the bug still remains.
i have checked "automatically increase build number" option in project options. after using "Build" option nothing happens. just build number is 5, as i set it earlier. is there ANY way to fix this?

Did you check that the fix was not just made in the svn trunk? If it was fixed recently it may not have been merged to 0.9.30.

IIRC there were some changes made in the last couple of weeks, so I would not be surprised if it was only available in 0.9.31

It is a duplicate of http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=18924
That was fixed in 0.9.31, and probably not merged to the 0.9.30 branch.
