[SOLVED] Ubuntu need fpc 2.5.1 please help.
« on: February 19, 2011, 08:26:17 am »
Alright, so I am trying to figure out how to upgrade the FPC under my Lazarus installation. I installed Lazarus on my ubuntu 10.04 from the Synaptic package manager.
FPC 2.4.0
Lazarus 0.9.28.2-8ubuntu1-beta
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 amd64

I need some of the features that were added in the FPC 2.5.1 I dont need any of the features in the new version of the IDE as far as I know unless it is required to be able to use the FPC.

I really don't even know where to start for changing the FPC on a linux machine. I would think that I would need to change the source and the lib to a newer version, but I can even find those in a .deb package

Any articles or instructions?

Thanks
